I. ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVES:
Requires independent work with close coordination with the media
coordinator in the ordering of library books; receiving of books;
preparing invoices for payment; records expenditures from each schools
account.

Salary: On schedule
Length of contract: 209+11
III. POSITION RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Director of Instructional Media and Technology
Coordinates with: Media Services staff
Type of coordination: As directed by administrator or others
with coordination responsibilities
IV. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- A. Desired training and experience: high school diploma, experience
with computers and accounting.
- B. Special requirements of the position:
- Experience using data management computer programs.
- Excellent keyboarding skills.
- Ability to manage a large workload.
- Ability to handle detailed record keeping.
- Experience with electronic mail.
- Experience using a computer spreadsheet.
- Ability to solve problems independently.
V. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Searches computer databases and District library automation system
for ordering information.
- Prepares and submits library book orders for all school media
centers.
- Prepares and sends orders electronically when possible.
- Receives and checks in all orders.
- Authorizes invoices for payment.
- Records expenditures from each account for each school on computer
spreadsheet.
- Sends regular budget balance reports to media specialists.
- Contacts vendors by telephone to solve problems.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
