Article I – Finances
· Section 1. The monthly dues shall consist of the total of the following per capita payments divided by the number of full-time employees in the bargaining unit plus an additional 16% of the full per capita dues to be paid to the local.
a. Monthly per capita payment to the American Federation of Teachers.
b. Monthly per capita payment to the AFT - Wisconsin.
c. Monthly per capita payment to the Wisconsin AFL-CIO.
d. Monthly per capita payment to the Eau Claire Area Council AFL-CIO.
· Section 2. Members working 2 or less hours per day, shall pay ¼ affiliation per capita dues plus full local per capita dues. Members working more than 2 but 4 or less hours per day, shall pay ½ affiliation per capita dues plus full local per capita dues.
· Section 3. Monthly dues shall be collected by payroll divided over two pay periods each month.
· Section 4. Officers (President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer) and Labor Relations Chair's dues shall be waived and the President shall receive a stipend as set forth by the Executive Council for the year(s) serving in office. Co-Presidents shall split the stipend of the President.
· Section 5. The Fiscal year of the Local #4018 shall be July 1 through June 30.
Article II – Resignation
· Upon 30 days notice, a member may resign from the Union by contacting the President of the Federation and the payroll department, both in writing.
Article III – Amendment
· The By-Laws may be amended by a majority of the members present at any regular meeting, providing notice of the contemplated change has been announced to the membership 15 days prior to the meeting.
